My name is Carl Kiilsgaard and I live in Portland, Or., land of slow drivers and overprotective parents.
I've been photographing for a little while now and enjoy everything about it; other then the continual disappointment and frustration it brings. The work i've done has been recognized by the Ian Parry Scholarship, the Getty Grant for Editorial Photography, PDN Photo Annual, the Magenta Foundation, POYi, BOP, and the Alexia Foundation for World Peace.
I enjoy Italian Calcio (forza Juve!), a good sandwich, japanese textiles, and John Prine.
