Clare Arni

Clare Arni, was born in the United Kingdom but has spent most of her life living in Bangalore or traveling and photographing places as far flung as Peru, Afghanistan, and Myanmar. She works as an architectural and travel photographer.
She has been published by Thames and Hudson, Phaidon. Dorling Kindersley and Blue Guides. Her architectural work includes contributions to books chronicling the works of Charles Correa, B.V. Doshi and Geoffrey Bawa as well as work for reputed architects and builders like Brigade and Soba groups, RSP, Chandarvakar and Thacker, Venkataramanan Associates and Inform architects. Her recent work has been published in magazines such as Tatler (UK), Abitaré (Italy), The Harvard Design Magazine aswell as Indian magazines like Outlook traveler, Namaste, Housecalls, Better Interiors and Inside Outside. She has been the solo photographer for books on Hampi, Banaras and the Kaveri River for Marg publications.
Last year she completed a detailed black-and-white photo documentary on the works of a German aid agency in some of the most remote regions of India. she is currently working on several books documenting the cultural heritage of South India and upcoming exhibitions on the changing landcapes of Urban India
