SISTERS OF PERPETUAL ADORATION
The Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Wexford are a closed order of nuns, who live a private and contemplative life in the Perpetual Adoration Convent. The convent is adjoined to The Church of the Assumption, one of Wexford’s iconic “Twin Churches,” in Bride Street, in the centre of the town.
Go west for a horse
Every October horse dealers from all over Ireland descend on Ballinasloe, County Galway, in the west of Ireland. The Ballinasloe horse fair, held annually, is one of Europe's oldest and largest horse fairs, dating back to the 18th century. An estimated 100,000 people attend the week long fair each year. The fair is an important event for the Irish travelling community, who regularly gather there to buy and sell horses.
