When he was 10-years-old, Robert Whitaker Jr. climbed a tree in his back yard with his younger brother when he mistook an exposed power line for a tree branch sending an electric current from his left arm through his body and out his right leg. After multiple surgeries and the amputation of his left arm, Whitaker, now 32-years-old, is keeping his childhood dream of becoming a professional basketball player alive. Over the last several years he has played in tournaments around the world including stops in China, Taiwan and Mexico putting his skills to the test and keeping hope alive that one day he will get his shot to play against the best in the world.
