Fabrizio Vatieri
Napoli, NA, Italia
I bumped into photography while studying as an architect. My work is an investigation on the identity that places hold, and on the relationship between photographed image and imagined reality.
My works have been exhibited in various spaces and institutions, including the Milan Trienni-
ale, Shoshana Wayne Gallery (Los Angeles, USA), Contemporary Gallery (Mestre, VE), Steam Factory (Milan). Between 2007 and 2008 he collaborated with Fabrizia Ippolito, Francesco Jodice and Luca Molinari to research about the geography of the places of the Camorra commissioned by the Campania region. In 2012 he collaborated with Marina Abramovic,
documenting her performance at the PAC in Milan and contributing to the publication of an international catalog and a manual. His works have been published in magazines including
Abitare, Domus and Territory, and in volumes as Napoli Assediata (Pironti Publisher), with texts by Roberto Saviano, Peppe Lanzetta and others.
He is author and curator of Pelagica, is also curator of Exposed Project.
