Damon Coulter is a freelance photojournalist and documentary photographer, originally from Kent in the UK, currently based in Tokyo, Japan where I specialize in capturing emotive single images, short photo features and photo essays for editorial clients worldwide. I am more than happy to travel anywhere for any assignments and always delivers quality images, on time and to client specifications.

Prayer for Peace
Damon Coulter
Kunio Hatoyama, a politician with the Liberal Democratic Party, hold a dove before releasing it as a prayer for peace at Yasukuni Shrine. On August 15th every year people gather at Yasukuni Shrine to commemorate the end of the Pacific War. Notionally a call for remembrance and continued peace it is also a Mecca for right wing nationalist including the paramilitary Uyoku Dantai. Tokyo, Japan, August 15th 2009
