I’m a documentary photographer based in Los Angeles focusing on social issues. My photography work has been recognized by BOP, POYI, Edward R. Murrow and a video I produced won an Emmy. I'm fluent in both Spanish and English. I was born in 1984 in California and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Sarah Lawrence College and a master’s degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University. I have completed internships at the Sandusky Register and The Oregonian. I have attended the Missouri Photo and Eddie Adams workshops. I was a staff photographer at the Naples Daily News for three years and recently relocated to California to freelance after two years freelancing in Colombia, South America.

Ethan Arbelo was 10 when doctors diagnosed him with terminal brain cancer. They had no cure in their arsenal for his grade III anaplastic astrocytoma and prescribed him with treatments that were merely life-extending. While the tumors took root in Ethan's brain, he made the most of the time he was given. Living was an opportunity. This is the story of Ethan's journey from boy to little man and his pursuit of happiness along the way.
