Daniel Otis

Daniel Otis covers murders, music and everything in-between. Formerly a general assignment reporter with the Toronto Star, he has also freelanced from Cambodia and Myanmar where his news and feature stories appeared in more than a dozen international magazines and newspapers. Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from the University of Toronto as well as a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of British Columbia. In much of his work, Daniel aims to breathe life into news stories with vivid photography and poignant prose.
