Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Hello! I am a full time freelance photographer based out of Palma de Mallorca, Spain. I am originally from Somerville, New Jersey! I lived, studied & worked in N.Y.C. for 10 years before moving to Palma in 2011. I travel frequently to the U.S. to photograph weddings & lifestyle.
I graduated from S.V.A. for design in 2005 & worked as an on-air designer for Vh1 for 3 years, where I fell in love with photography. I created narrative 10-second promos with photos & copy from Vh1 shows. My photography was used for Black History Month, Metal Month & holiday generic promos.
In 2008 I left Vh1 to learn photography. I worked as a freelance motion graphics artist to pay the bills while taking courses at ICP, & assisting world-renowned photojournalists like Donna Ferrato & Lori Grinker.
Dreaming about living and working internationally, I got my english teaching certification, moved to Mallorca in 2011 & worked for the Spanish government as a language assistant for 2 years.
In 2013 I became a resident & could give up teaching. I started shooting for Iberostar Hotels, creating content for their social media and became a contributing photographer for lifestyle & urban subculture Magazine, Infomag Alternativa Baleares.
In 2014 I moved to Lanzarote & worked as a studio assistant for Eco-sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, & helped complete the 1st underwater sculpture museum in Europe, el Museo Atlántico. I was also responsible for documenting the process through photos & video.
I recently moved back to Palma & spontaneously agreed to buy a classic wooden Swedish sailboat with my best friend. We spent the summer sailing the boat from Gothenburg to Mallorca, while flying back & forth for photo jobs.
Finally re-settling in Palma as my home base. It is a constantly evolving creative & culinary hub with a rich culture & history, only a 30 minute flight to Barcelona & well connected to the rest of Europe.
