Daniel Marenco

Daniel Marenco has been working as a photojournalist for the past 11 years. He was born in Rio Grande do Sul in 1980 and graduated in Journalism in 2009 at Vale do Rio dos Sinos University (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). He is currently a staff photographer for O Globo newspaper in Rio de Janeiro. In the past, he has worked for "Folha de São Paulo", "Zero Hora" and "Diário Gaúcho" newspapers.
In 2015, Marenco covered global news events such as the Mariana dam disaster in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and the earthquake in Nepal. He had two pictures nominated for the “Exxonmobil Journalism Prize”, the most prestigious photojournalism award in the country. In 2014, he covered the World Cup of soccer in Brazil among other assignments.
