Daniel Ramalho

Daniel Ramalho was born in 1979 in Rio de Janeiro. Left Engeneering studies to dedicate to the dream to produce documental photography. Started shooting for students associations and unions, and in 2004 became a member of the Jornal do Brasil photo staff until the end of the printing edition in 2010. Then moved to Sao Paulo for MARCA sports newspaper, in 2012 returning to Rio to join Terra Networks where stayed until 2014 and starts to work independely.
International experience includes the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 and the Rio PanAmerican Games in 2007 and The Confederations Cup in 2013. The superstorm Sandy in Staten Island, NY, 2012 and the 50 years of the Cuban Revolution in Havana in 2009.
Had a honorable mention in National Photojournalism Embratel prize in 2009 and was one of the winners of 2012 Leica Photografic in black in white. Post graduated in Photography as Social Sciences Research Instrument in UCAM University, 2003. Avaiable for assingments in Brazil, South America and elsewhere.
