Born and raised in England, Dan began his entertainment career at The Farm in London before coming to Los Angeles to get his MFA at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television. After graduating he joined The Weinstein Company’s Prod/Dev department, before leaving to start his own non-scripted production company, Idiomatic Ent. As part of Idiomatic, Dan created, produced and developed docu-reality shows for VH1, Comedy Central, A&E (THE SAFECRACKER), Animal Planet (GROOMER HAS IT, WHALE WARS) and HGTV (ON THE MARKET) until, in 2009, he returned to the scripted world with Harpo Films. As Vice President of Development he serviced Harpo’s exclusive HBO deal for television series, movies and miniseries, as well as theatrical projects for all major studios. Today, Dan gives chase to his love of storytelling as a freelance writer, producer and director, and has worked for a number of companies, notably Fishbowl Worldwide Media, Campanario, Lifetime, Red Bull TV and most recently Karga Seven Pictures where he was supervising producer on the series HUNTING HITLER for History Channel
