David Severn

David Severn is a documentary and editorial photographer based in Nottingham, UK. He has worked on assignments for The New York Times, FT Weekend, The Times (London) and MONOCLE, among others.
David's work is concerned with working class culture and the places associated with it both historically and today. He is particularly interested in the relationship between work, people and landscape. His most recent project looks at life and culture in the North Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire coalfields, in the British Midlands.
