David Vaaknin
Jerusalem, Israel
David Vaaknin (b. 1979) is an independent photographer and photojournalist based in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Israel. David's editorial and commercial photography work is regularly featured in major international publications. His clients include magazines, newspapers, travel companies, creative agencies, and content marketing agencies.
A self-taught photographer with over a decade of experience in photojournalism, reportage, documentary, portrait, travel, and landscape photography, David began his professional career in 2006, working as a photojournalist for Israeli media outlets, after making a decision to walk away from Physics studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in order to pursue photography full-time.
When he’s not super-busy writing about himself in the third person, David tirelessly works to expand his collection of witty slogan t-shirts, enjoys binge-watching TV with his wife Natalie while wearing his fluffy Moose Slippers (weather permitting), and generally tries to avoid singing in public, due to his utter and complete lack of vocal talent.
