For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to combine my love of words and belief in the power of photographs into a career. I used to think that images
While I still have this desire, I no longer think I can change the world.
While I still truly believe that powerful images can educate people and initiate change, I know that it takes more than empathy for people to commit to making a difference.
For a time, this change in my beliefs made me doubt what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.
But what I have come to realize is that while I may not be able to change the world, I can tell people’s stories so that they are never forgotten. And in that way, maybe I will at least change their world.
