Independent photographer Dhiraj Singh has focused on human-interest stories evolving in India and has innovatively used modern technology to create breaking multimedia projects.
Singh regularly works for Bloomberg, UNICEF, UNDP, Polaris and his work has been published in Newsweek, Vanity Fair, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, L'Espresso, Respekt, Burn Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times, with his photo story on Kashmir showcased by The New York Times on its 'Lens Blog'.
Apart from winning prizes at important photography contests, such as, NPPA, and CHIPP, his work has been exhibited at the Willy-Brandt-Haus Gallery, Berlin, Germany; Centrum Dzialan Tworczych 1500 m2-Gallery-Warsaw, Poland; and the Global Gallery in Sydney, Australia. The National Maritime Museum, Finland has a permanent collection of his images.
Recently his images of Mumbai have been prominently used in "The Complete Photographer", a masterclass book on photography by DK, featuring prominent photographers from across the world.
