David Kalisher
Director of Filmmaking
Jolly Road Productions, Inc.
Los Angeles, CA, USA
David Kalisher is an expert story teller and filmmaker. He is a graduate of the prestigious American Film Institute, former Director of Creative Development for Seldes Films at MGM Studios, and since 2008, producer, founder and filmmaker for Jolly Road Productions.
Kalisher entered the world of corporate filmmaking in 2001, shooting and editing interview projects for Radar Communications in Boulder, CO. What started out as in-between gigs, developed into the foundation of Jolly Road Production’s business, born out of a love for capturing the heart of a story and the emotions that drive choices.
While in graduate school, Kalisher was cast as host on the inaugural season television show, LIFE AFTER FILM SCHOOL on the Fox Movie Channel. Guests included Hollywood directors Donald Petrie, John Moore, Shawn Levy, and producer John Davis.
While the Jolly Road team is hired to produce corporate inspirational projects, videos with meaningful intent, documentaries, journalistic pieces, and projects for the benefit of important cause, Kalisher is the primary interviewer and prides himself in creating a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere for meaningful discussion.
Over the years, Kalisher has amassed a talented network of specialists he draws upon to assemble the strongest possible team for each project. Working this way, Jolly Road Productions is able to maintain high quality standards, affordable rates, and a reputation for superior client satisfaction. Centrally located in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Hollywood and Los Angeles with clients and field experts all over the United States, David and his team are as comfortable working locally as anywhere in the world.
