Dottie Bond

Dottie Bond is a Boulder, Colorado-based documentary photographer. In her work, Dottie frequently explores narratives of social and political issues that define our time. Questions of national and cultural identity, migration, and the stories of underrepresented communities are recurring themes in Dottie’s projects. Her work has been exhibited and published internationally.
Dottie received a Master of Arts in International Security and Conflict Resolution from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Relations from Northwestern University and frequently sources photographic inspiration from her educational background. She was selected to participate in VII Photo Agency’s Masterclass (2019/20).
“In Kretek Country”, an intimate portrayal of life in Indonesia’s tobacco farming communities, was featured in F Stop Magazine and the Jakarta Post in 2019.
In 2020, Dottie’s work will be featured in two exhibitions. “The Coloradans”, an examination of cultural integration and immigration in Colorado, will be exhibited in a VII Photo Agency Masterclass collective show at FUGA in Barcelona, Spain. Work from her project “Pilgrims of Kumbh Mela”, which explores the nexus of faith, humanity, and entertainment at the world's largest religious gathering in India, will be featured in the 6th annual Eyes on Main Street exhibition in Wilson, North Carolina, USA in the fall of 2020.
