Diana Takacsova
Brussels, Belgium
Diana Takacsova is a photographer currently based between Belgium and Slovakia, but often on the road. Bringing together rigorous research and a deep interest in personal narratives, her work revolves around questions of identity, physical and emotional connection to place, migration, and the human relationship to nature, and environment.
Diana is a National Geographic Society grantee, and a Slovak Press Photo award recipient (2016) and nominee (2018) whose work has been featured in The New York Times, GEO Slovakia, The Calvert Journal, Gestalten & BESIDE or Oxford Monitor of Forced Migration, among others. Her zine, Between Realities, was published by Another Place Press. She is also an Eddie Adams Workshop, VII Academy and International Summer School of Photography alumna. In 2022, Diana was selected for Artpil's 30 Under 30 Women Photographers list and was a finalist of AiS Open.
