Edgardo Antonio Jr. is a photographer, filmmaker, and journalist from the San Francisco Bay Area, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. He has developed stories on first generation families, the school-to-prison pipeline, education and immigration reform and queer Latino farmworkers in the Central Valley. His film work includes Dignidad En Accion, a short documentary on domestic worker rights in the Bay Area, DACA: 2 Years After, a series depicting the aftermath of DACA for two youth in Richmond and Cristian, 19, a profile piece of a young man’s experience with juvenile detention, court school and reentry. In addition, Edgardo Antonio Jr. worked for Anna Deavere Smith on The Pipeline Project, a long term investigation into America’s education and youth criminal justice system and how youth are caught in its throes. He is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Urban Planning and a minor in Film and Media Studies.
