Edu graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. During a trip through South America, he discovered the power of the visual language of photography as a way of communicating events and ideas and on his return to Barcelona, he enrolled photographic education. At the same time he participated in a number of photography master-classes with names like Pep Bonet, Philip Blenkinsop, Carl de Keyzer, Alberto García-Alix, Antonin Kratochvil, Donald Weber and Anders Peteresen, among others.
Since 2006, Edu has worked as a photojournalist for El País and Público newspapers, in Spain. He has also traveled extensively, covering important events and stories in Kosovo, Turkish and Iraqi Kurdistan, Gambia, Rwanda, Burma and Libya, publishing work in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Le Monde, The Guardian, The Independent...
Edu combines personal projects with comercial work and he is available for assignments.
