Eli Farinango

Eli Farinango is a Kichwa artist and visual storyteller. Her work has been exhibited in the Toronto Media Arts Centre, International Centre of Photography, Casa Palma in Bogota, and various artists-run centres. She was awarded the Photographers Without Borders X Sony Canada Scholarship and has participated in various artist residencies at the Banff Centre for the Arts. She holds an Honours BA in Political Science and Latin American Studies from the University of Toronto and she is the recipient of the Director’s fellowship at the International Centre of Photography where she is currently enrolled in the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism Program. She is currently based in Haudenosaunee territory (Hamilton- Canada).
