Elisabeth Ubbe

Elisabeth graduated from Nordens Fotoskola, Biskops-Arnö in June 2016, after freelancing as a photojournalist since 2008 and before that had a long career as a registered nurse midwife. In October 2016 she was one of the Eddie Adams Workshop alumnis. She has also been editor in chief of the Swedish breastfeeding magazine Amningsnytt. Elisabeth's work has been featured in widespread national publications and media. The last years she has covered the drug war in Mexico from womens perspective, reported on equality work in South Africa, covered the refugee situation in Evros on the border to EU and produced and released an exhibition and a book about breastfeeding and breasts; The Invisible Breasts, which is now on tour in Sweden. Recently she has been working in Turkey by the border to Syria covering stories about girls and women who are sold as co-wives to Turkish men and children trained by the ISIS. Elisabeth is working on a book project about Female Genital Mutilation and has produced an exhibition with pictures and an audio story on the subject. Currently I am working on a project about unaccompanied refugee children.
