Elli Ioannou is comfortable as an artist working in both the commercial and art-photography worlds. With a background in fashion photography, her creative repertoire now includes: photo media artist, video director & photo media educator in higher education.
Elli’s photography teaching experience in higher education Australian, spans over 7 years and includes: RMIT University, Photography Studies College, Victoria University , Whitehouse Institute of Design & Academy of Design Australia.
Best known for her fashion campaigns and backstage images, ELLI is also carving a niche for herself in contemporary video art.
Described as 'ethereal', 'sensual' and 'beautifully haunting', her photographs have been commended by luminaries such as UK publishing icon, Terry Jones (the Face & I-D mag) Australian designer Kit Willow and fashion editor Janice Breen-Burns.
In 2010 Elli exhibited at Milan’s most prestigious design festival, Salone Del Mobile, returning later that year for a four-month residency.
