Emmanuelle Coqueray is a French photographer born in 1979 and currently based in Lyon (France). She holds an MFA from the ENSP-Arles (2004). Her photographs are the result of painstaking research recorded in the searching, wanderings in space in transition. Specifically, she photographs traces of these mutations, with a preference for vacant lots or suburbs and the vegetation of their wild spaces. Careful use of light and composition creates contrast of form, color and material, breathing life and poetry into these deserted landscape. Her work is regularly exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in France (Art center of Vénissieux, Magasin-CNAC, Municipal archives of Lyon, Art center l'Attrape couleurs, The 104, L'œil écoute gallery…) and abroad ( Villa Médicis, Image center of Lima, Vyner Street Gallery, in London…).
