My work explores the relationship between the Military-Industrial Complex and romance tourism. With influences as diverse as Nietzsche and John Cage, new tensions are crafted from both opaque and transparent textures. Ever since I was a postgraduate I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of meaning. What starts out as yearning soon becomes manipulated into a carnival of power, leaving only a sense of chaos and the prospect of a new understanding. As spatial phenomena become transformed through studious and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with a testament to the limits of our world.
