Gábor Erdélyi has won various and several prizes and awards in nearly 50 photo contests. He is currently Photography Ambassador of Sony, testing top smartphones of Samsung, he is a photo artist sponsored by several global companies. In 2015, he was second in the Hungarian Press Photo Contest which he won in 2014 in portrait category. In 2016, two of his photos were included in the private Hungariconok contemporary art collection and in the Luciano Benetton Imago Mundi Collection. He is a photographer of musicians, actors/actresses, dancers and other artists. His objective is to establish a contemporary “hall of portraits”. Giving up his legal studies, he started self-learning photography and after winning an international scholarship, he went to Denmark to further study photography. As the photographer of international magazines, he takes portraits, nude and fashion photos. For several years he was the lead photographer and visual editor of Gentleman Magazine. Presently, he takes portraits for high profile magazines such as Hamu és Gyémánt, Playboy, Premier and Presztízs Sport. He works with musicians, bands, actors/actresses and he is the cast photographer for Hungarian and international movie production projects on regular basis. The graphic lines, the portrait photography and the relationship between people and built environment are the most important elements in his visual world. He frequently travels and currently is based in Barcelona, Spain. He regularly spends time in Budapest.
