Erica Canepa is an Italian freelance documentary photographer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Coming from a rich background in art (BA in Art Restoration) and intercultural learning, she has graduated with a MA in Photojournalism (with merit) from the University of Westminster, London, in 2011.
Her personal projects focus on human rights, women and identity issues, health, religion and rituals; she is particularly interested on intimate stories that examine the complexity of the human condition.
Her work has been featured in several publications, among them: The New York Times, Time Magazine, BBC, National Geographic, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Americas Quarterly, Internazionale, Bloomberg News, BuzzFeed News, Monocle, Marie Claire, 6mois, La Stampa, Fanpage.it, IlPost, L'oeil de la Photographie and it has been exhibited in the UK, Germany and in various cities in Italy.
Erica has been nominated for the Joop Swart Masterclass 2019 and she is an Eddie Adam Workshop XXXI alumni.
