In Latin America, I have reported on on sexual violence, internal forced displacement, kidnapping, national elections and post-election unrest, migration, and the impact of drug policies on the livelihoods of coca farmers.
I have also documented Cambodia’s post-conflict rapid development, land grabbing, civil unrest and the depletion of natural resources, as well as conservation efforts and the human-wildlife conflict in East Africa.

Balloons with SOS messages directed to president Obama and Hillary Clinton are released during a demonstration in the sand dunes of the former Boeung Kak lake. The balloons were released into the sky by demonstrators at the time they believed Air Force One would land in Phnom Penh for the ASEAN summit. Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
