The road back to Siljustøl
Erlend Mikael Sæverud
Siljustøl in Bergen was my childhood vacation spot.
Because my grandfather Sæverud, was a famous composer, this place was made to a museum after his death in 1992 and therefore a public domain. This meant that I lost contact with the place and the childhood memories no longer felt like mine.
20 years later I decided to go back to photograph the mysterious, adventurous and slightly spooky atmosphere of Siljustøl, as
I remembered it. This became a book "The Road Back to Siljustøl".
