Born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1978, he began his work of freelance photographer in 1996.
Photojournalist profiled in news coverage, reports and documentaries, Christian successively worked since 2002 till 2017 in the colombian magazine Cromos-Shock and daily newspaper El Espectador, and for International news agencys AP and EFE/EPA, especially covering conflict between the various belligerents, victims stories, struggle for land and social issues.
This graphic designer graduated of the National University of Colombia also teaches photography and photojournalism since 15 years in colombian universities.

Numerous national and international collective and individual exhibitions and various awards including a special mention at the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar Contest, a special mention in Colombian-Swiss Photography National Prize in 2008, the 2nd Prize in ‘News’ category in 2006 National Geographic Award 2006, and the 2nd Prize in ‘Urban Landscape’ category in 2006 National Geographic Award 2006.
