Robert Booth
Associate Photo Editor
ESPN
Bristol, Connecticut, United States
In 2009 I received my bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in digital media from Keystone College. Shortly after, I accepted a job with ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut as a Digital Media Associate.
The DMA program was a one-year position where I worked in and learned the processes of nearly every department in the Digital Media group. This included Editorial, Video, Analytics and Search.
In 2010 I joined the ESPN Digital Media photo group and have spent the last five years as a photo editor. This position entails:
Procuring and editing live art and news photos that are acquired from wire services (ex. AP, Getty) or freelance photographers.
Designing photo illustrations to pair with large events and feature stories.
Attending events as photographer, aux. photographer or editor.
Generating photo galleries and photo story ideas.
Managing in-house photo archive and search tool.
