Salt Lake City, UT, USA
I am an editorial and commercial photographer based in South Bend, Indiana. I am drawn to photographing stories with a focus on community and culture. But, I am always interested in learning about projects and stories going on in the Midwest.
In 2017, I earned my master's from the University of Missouri, Columbia. For my master's project, I spent time learning and photographing the experience of a community living along Boeung Tompun, a freshwater lake on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I worked to document and understand the experience of uncertainty as major developments filled in the lake and the natural resource was slowly lost. My connection to Cambodia was formed during the two years that I lived in Kampot Province as an English teacher and teacher trainer for the United States Peace Corps. I moved to Indiana in 2019. Before the move, I worked as the photo editor & photojournalist at The Daily Herald, a daily newspaper in Provo, Utah.
