I am an editorial and commercial photographer based out of South Bend, Indiana. I moved up to Indiana in 2019. Before the move, I worked as the photo editor at the Daily Herald, a daily newspaper in Provo, Utah.
In 2017, I received my M.A. from the University of Missouri, Columbia. For my master's project, I spent time learning about the experience of a community living along Boeung Tompun, a freshwater lake on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I worked to document and understand the experience of uncertainty as major developments filled in the lake and the natural resource was slowly lost. My connection to Cambodia was from my service in the United States Peace Corps and the two years that I lived in Kampot Province as an english teacher and teacher trainer.
I was born and raised in small-town Minnesota. I received my B.A. from the University of St. Johns and the College of St. Benedict. My majors in undergraduate were psychology and peace studies.
