I began photography in 2009 with friends who were mountain sports professional athletes. Soon, I started to cover international competitions they competed in for magazines, and what was a hobby became my student job.
As my master’s degree in geology came to an end, my vision of photography evolved: beyond the sole graphic research, I became eager to tell stories with my pictures. In 2010, after a professionally unsuccessful first experience as a geologist, I decided to leave geology behind and pursue a career in photojournalism. During this year, I conducted my first journalistic project on a community youth center in the United States.
In 2011, I joined the “photojournalist” section of the École des Métiers de l’Information School in Paris to improve my story-telling skills. With the digital storytelling major, I worked this year as a story architect on an interactive documentary on the French presidential election, and started an extensive multimedia project on dubstep music. I later joined the creation studio Hans Lucas and kept along photography and videography, with the press and the corporate and institutional worlds.
