Wendy Catling

Wendy Catling is an artist working primarily in the medium of photography. Her work explores the complexities of family, memory, power and intergenerational trauma. She is currently completing an MA-Photography at Photography Studies College in Melbourne. Wendy studied fine art at Monash University, graduating with a major in printmaking. During 15 years living in London, UK she worked as a textile designer, theatre designer, improvisor of sound and lighting and theatre administrator. She completed her Post Graduate diploma of education at Greenwich University in 2000 and has been teaching art and photography since 2001. Wendy is now based in Melbourne, Australia with her husband, Peter Miller, a sound designer, composer and digital artist. Her works are in collections at the National Gallery of Australia and Warrnambool Art Gallery and private collections. She has exhibited in Australia and the USA.
