Esteban Valencia Patiño (February 21 / 1990) was born in La Ceja, a town located at the east of Antioquia (Colombia). Starts his professional studies in Photography achieving a Technic Degree in the Arts Institute IDEARTES. Afterwards, continues his learning focusing in Documentary Photography in the Yurupary Academy located in the city of Medellín. After a path through the academy and with a constant interest for sharing his way of see the world, originates the project La Media Vida, a website for sharing and developing photographic content that every person can have an access and participate, sharing pictures about the daily life. Has worked for recognized local magazines as Semana and Vice Colombia. In 2014 he won the Grant given by “Gobernación de Antioquia” and developed a project about the armed conflict in the east part of the state (Antioquia), named “MITOS: Tradiciones y Fantasmas de la Verdad Cotidiana”.Exposed project nowadays in the Galería la Cometa, in Bogotá.
