Franco Casonato
Bologna, Italy
He studied drawing in Bordighera Balbo' Academy, under the guidance of Maestro Sergio "Ciacio" Biancheri.
Since 1978, he's interesting in photography, starting learn it on his own. While pursuing a different career path that would lead him to lend his work in medium and large Italian industrial groups, with increasing responsibilities in organization and controlling, using the opportunity that is given to travel to watch and observe, photographing in his spare time.
In Brescia, still in analogue era, he follows the photography courses organized by the active Ken Damy Museum of Corso Sant'Agata (technique and printing) and participate in some group exhibitions; it's here that enters in contact with Italian and foreign photographers.
In 2012 he enters the professional photographer career and became a member of the National Association of professional photographers-Tau Visual headquarters in Milan.
In recent years has had a happy relationship with Sicily and with some of the artists living there.
He is currently working, between Portugal France and Italy on some projects that have in common the idea of "travel and travelers" and others having, at the time, the purpose of photographic documentation for future developments.
