The TV-Journalist, fixer, cameraman & director Christian Feiland became a “globe trotter” as an infant due to his father´s job. As a toddler he has lived for 4 years in Istanbul and as teenager he has spent 3 years in Karachi, Pakistan.
In 1993 Chris started his media carrier at the Radio station “Kiss FM Berlin”. As young journalist he moderated a 2h program called “Kiss Young Culture”. Shortly afterwards he changed to the field of TV and he was hired by the “Deutsche Welle TV” service provider “Media Port Berlin” as a TV-Reporter. Istanbul became his destination by choice in 1997. He settled down and worked for the German national TV station "ARD" in the Istanbul Studio. Later on he started his own production company, which produces programms for TV stations world-wide. He has worked with various well-known personalities like: Ivan Watson, Michael Bloomberg, Dieter Kronzucker, Claus Kleber, Anne Will, Antonia Rados, Tilman Jens, etc.
Feiland witnessed all major events in Turkey over the past years – as journalist including live stand-ups, as a fixer, editor or cameraman. For bigger sets he was the line-producer of crews of 20 or more (e.g. Pro7- “Gülcan´s Hochzeit” – Türkei Folge, arte - “Durch die Nacht mit...”) He arranged service provider contracts and worked with ORF (Austrian public service provider) and DHA (Dogan News Agency) for many years.
Feiland speaks fluently Turkish, English and German. On top of all Feiland´s family history at the bosporus dates an astonishing 140 years back.
