Francesca Beltran
New York, NY, USA
Mexican visual artist based in New York.
I create original content for a wide range of brands, clients, and publications. Services comprise photography, video, writing, and production. In 2016 I participated in "Belligerent Eyes | 5K Confinement," an experimental media research facility at Fondazione Prada in Venice, Italy focused on contemporary image production. The experience had a profound impact on my approach towards a new visual aesthetic. During the residency I co-directed 'no-body,' an experimental film that premiered at Fondazione Prada during the 73rd Venice International Film Festival. In 2017 I directed 'Together We Rise,' a short film commissioned by the Women’s March on Washington, and my photography series 'Empty Spaces' was chosen to exhibit at PERSONAL STRUCTURES - open borders, a contemporary art exhibition hosted by the European Cultural Center in the context of the 57th Venice Art Biennale. My work has also been showcased in the United States, Germany and Mexico, as well as on national and international publications.
Select clients and publications include Fondazione Prada, Balmain, Coach, Cartier, Laura Mercier, Four Seasons Hotel, Man / Woman, Samsung, Matte Projects, Full Moon Fest, Faye Driscoll, Gizmodo, DNA Magazine, i-D Vice Mexico, C-Heads Magazine, Milk Made, Nylon Mexico, The Front, Contributor Magazine, and Univision.
