Francesco Ragazzi
Padova, Padua, Italy
I am an Italian Documentary Photographer based in London.
I use photography to draw and document reality; as my background is archaeology I dig between the layers of our community to describe humanity and its behaviours. An anthropological research recorded through a lens that would like to leave the viewer free to match his/her personal experience with the seen result of my gaze.
My most consistent experience within photography is connected with the greatest passion of my life, Rugby. In 2007 I covered the _Rugby World Cup_ in France and in the same time I begun to work as assistant for _Claudio Mainardi_ fashion photographer. Many Italian newspaper like _La Repubblica, Il Corriere della Sera, La Gazzetta dello Sport_ etc., published some of my sports and daily-news pictures.
In 2014 some of my pictures where published on Financial Time Magazine and International Gallerie.
In 2014 I was shortlisted in Magnum _“Top 30 under 30”_ competition.
In 2012 I graduated with a Master Degree in Archaeological Science, specialization in pre-protohistorical archaeology at the University of Padua.
In 2014 I completed a Master in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication.
In 2015 have been shortlisted in Magnum "30 under 30" competition.
