Franco Fafasuli
Buenos Aires, Argentina
My name is Franco Fafasuli, I was born in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 29, 1997. Throughout my life I have had the opportunity to live in various countries around the world such as Basel, Switzerland, Barcelona, Spain and the last period in Mexico City. After almost 17 years I returned to the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Photography is something that has always been present in my life in one way or another, since my mother dedicated herself to it for several years, but it was not until I returned to Buenos Aires in 2017 that I decided to buy my first camera.
Since then, I have dedicated myself to documenting the various social conflicts that take place in the city of Buenos Aires, this has allowed me to have photos published in international and local media, such as: El País, La Nación, Infobae, Chronicle, Tiempo Argentino, Diario Crux of the United States, Diario Popular, among others.
The fact of living in several countries has allowed me to create an ideological, political and social detachment of the things that happen in certain places, and that is why as a photographer I try to be as neutral as possible, trying to be a spectator showing the two parts of a conflict (if there are any) and that afterwards each person stays with the party that most identifies them.
On the other hand, I have also dedicated myself to portraying the living conditions of one of the indigenous communities located in the north of Argentina in the province of Chaco, and I am developing a project on street people in the city of Buenos Aires.
I'm currently working on my first book called "The Heart of Fury" in which I seek to show a more internal point of view of the social conflicts that take place in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
