Born in 1965, Frederic is a freelance photographer, whose work centres on Africa. His approach, based on a documentary process, favours the chronicle as a narrative mode. He has lived and worked in Tanzania, Nigeria, Sudan, Chad and Uganda. His photo essays are regularly published in the press and frequently featured at international photojournalism festivals, focus on neglected stories and the live of people who are trapped in the spiral of conflict, socially excluded or stigmatized.
In addition to his photographic work, Frederic NOY has produced several multimedia projects about sexual minorities in Great Lakes region in Africa.
Concerned photographer, he documents the faith of vulnerable populations, especially in Africa by collaborating regularly with UNHCR.
