It was just a moment... she was showing off her tiny new kitten, pressing him against her face and smiling when she set him on the table to continue cleaning the floors. I looked over and watched the scene, the kitten slowly stalking across the table, the green parrot frantically shuffling to the other side of the cage. Trapped, but safe.
