After studying Economics at the University of Bologna, he trains at the Bauer centre at Milan and specializes in “Theory and language of the photographic project”.
From 2008 Giovanni Nardelli lives in Paris, where he assists photographers as Martin Parr, Charles Freger and Paolo Woods. Here he starts shaping his work on suburbs and later on joins the collective “Peripherique”.
He was finalist at the Territoires en image Festival in 2013; finalist at the 52nd "Bourse du Talent" Espace et Architecture in 2012 and in 2007 for the Premio Celeste.
He take part at ISSP in Latvia in August 2015 and hehe has been published the book "des combattants peu ordinaires" in December 2015.
