LE MACCHIOLE Anniversary PALEO ROSSO 2012
Maurizio Gjivovich
PALEO ROSSO
2012
20 different portraits united in form and essence, in a color non-color, made of what they are and want to be: simply authentic and yet stars in their own right. We have deliberately chosen well-known names of the wine world and restaurant business as well as others perfectly unknown, but all sharing simple gestures. A story told through freeze-frames and gestures. What comes to my lips when I look at these pictures?.. “They all have a piece of Paleo in their heart”.
We are in Bolgheri, Tuscany, on the Etruscan Coast. In this magical place, where rolling hills are blanketed by forest, where vineyards and olive trees meet with the Tyrrhenian Sea, Le Macchiole has taken shape over time.
