After my Baywatch audition fell through at an early age (see photo), I took advantage of my outstanding physique and spent countless hours shooting hoops and practicing for the X-Games. I launched bikes, skateboards, and roller-blades off ramps and into the street outside my parents' Delaware home.
Years later and halfway through high school, I realized I only had about a 50/50 shot of being the next M.J. or Tony Hawk. So I leveled with myself and abandoned those dreams for short careers in paintball, cycling, and running.
Disappointment ensued as I graduated high school winning not one superlative. I spent the following five years grinding out a journalism degree at CU Boulder and missed graduating with Cum Laude honors by just about as much as everybody else in my class.
Today, I split my time between Boulder and Brooklyn and fall asleep only 6-7 nights a week thinking about what my life could have been like as an NBA star. Luckily, I wake up every morning very happy to be a photographer.
