Greg Funnell
London, United Kingdom
I’m a freelance photographer and filmmaker working worldwide but with a London (UK) based studio.
Having studied History & War Studies at Kings College London I moved into the photographic industry soon after and have spent the last 8 years working for clients that include The Sunday Times Magazine, The Guardian, The Independent, the Financial Times and the Washington Post. I’ve shot everything from commissioned celebrity portraits, to travel assignments, in-depth documentary features and development work in the field for NGOs. I also increasingly work in the commercial and advertising sector producing campaigns and content for clients on international campaigns.
NGO and International Development Work
I have worked with charities and NGOs in the UK and abroad, delivering development project film and stills packages in often unstable and remote environments with the aim of completing stand alone documentaries or packages for media outlets. Clients include ActionAid, Save the Children and WWF, working across Africa, Central America, and southeast Asia. As part of this work I have also completed the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Stay Safe Course.
Filmmaking
Although I’m primarily known for my photography I also increasingly work with moving imagery, having directed and produced work for NGOs, editorial, corporate and commercial clients.
