Gregor Zielke
Berlin, Germany
With a curious eye and a passion for telling stories, I work mainly within reportage, documentary and editorial portraiture. For the past 12 years I have been fascinated by the state and development of Germany’s Jewish community, both through work for Jewish Media Outlets and Organisations and also extensively as a personal long term projects. Photography is my way to connect with the world around me. While working on a project I usually show up early and stay late—my wife's not always happy about that.
I usually enjoy working on several things at the same time—a long form project and then assignment work of various scale of course. Some of my work has been published in a variety of newspapers and magazines including Die ZEIT, Der Spiegel, The Guardian, Courrier International, Internazionale, Jüdische Allgemeine, WOZ Die Wochenzeitung, TAZ, The Forward, Berliner Zeitung, Luzerner Zeitung, PUNKT! Magazine, Marx 21, Südlink, amongst others.
I am currently based out of Berlin, where I live with my wife and three kids but would usually rather be by the sea or out in the woods, where I try to spend as much time as possible.
