Cecilia is a journalist specialising in national and international news. She is currently living in Barcelona and Madrid. Over the last ten years she has been working as a correspondent in Spain for Argentina’s national news agency, Telam. She has covered news events in Europe, Africa and Turkey. She is a Freelance reporter and news producer for radio, TV and multimedia.
Her work has been published on the main media of Argentina and Latin America, including the daily newspapers Página 12, Clarín and La Nación. She has covered stories for the news channel América TV, C5N and CN 23. And also for local and regional radio stations.
Among the main highlights, Cecilia covered the 11th of March attacks in Madrid 2004, the 7th of July attacks in London 2005, in addition to several international summits, such as the IV European Union, Latin America and Caribbean Summit, Latin American Summits, G-20 Head of State Summits and G-20 Economic Ministers Summit.
In Spain, she has covered three general elections (2004, 2008 and 2011), as well as municipal and regional elections. She has also been responsible for monitoring and reporting on the Basque Country conflict over the last ten years. Since 2008, she has provided constant coverage of the economic crisis and its social impact and has been following the protests which have taken place throughout the country.
She has experience of covering conflicts such as the revolution against the Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak in 2011.
Her most recent work has included special reports on the election of Pope Francisco, the situation in Tunisia following the Arab spring, protests in Istanbul against Erdogan’s government and the closure of ERT, the Greek public television station.
In the sports arena, she has followed breaking news at FC Barcelona for several years. She took part of the coverage of the 2010 South Africa World Cup.
