Guillem Trius

Guillem Trius was graduated in journalism in Barcelona. When studying, he specialised in photojournalism and freelance documentaries. In 2012 he worked recording a documentary of the project “Promoting Renewable Energy based Mini Grids for productive uses in rural areas of The Gambia” coordinated by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation.
In 2013 He exhibited his work “Abaraka Gambia” (Thanks Gambia) in Barcelona and won the Compact Click award with one of the pictures of the exhibition.
For two years Guillem worked documenting the project “BCN shares its food” coordinated by the NGO Nutrition Without Borders. He won the first prince of Movement for Peace awards with the documentary about this project. After finishing university he worked as a freelance in countries like Ethiopia, Senegal, Greece or Gambia publishing articles and pictures in Spanish newspapers and magazines like “La Vanguardia” or “Diari ARA”. Hi did his last exhibition this 2016 in Barcelona with a project called “The last salt caravan” that follows the nomads of Ethiopia in their routes to trade with salt. He graduated with the MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication.
